Dreaming of Africa
This zebra, in a Canadian zoo, had a captivating longing in her eyes.
Wild Stallion
This day was bittersweet for me. I found dozens of wild horses, including this gorgeous stallion. Unfortunately, I also found a dead mare; a somber reminder of what life in the wild is like.
Clown Face
Between its markings and facial expressions, I found this wild horse to be rather clownish and cute.

War Paint
I love the markings on this beautiful wild horse. It almost looks like war paint and its facial expression is a perfect match.
Whatcha Doin'?
A golden Peach Cliff looked beautiful against the blue, cloudy sky. I was almost ready to take my shot when this horse decided to investigate what I was doing. I decided to run with it and have some fun with an ultrawide angle lens. This cutie let me pet it, so no hard feelings. 😁

Day 43: Wild horses on the move
Today I met these three wild horses: mother, son, and possibly daughter (or simply a younger mare). Thick as thieves, they looked gorgeous moving together in the snow.
Day 46: Synchronized Grazing
This small herd of four wild horses moved with incredible harmony and symmetry. It looked like synchronized grazing.
Wild Colt
I met this colt today while out hunting for my daily photo. I chose the Bald Eagle that I posted earlier, but this wild horse is too handsome not to share as well.
Day 14: Wild Horse
I found another herd of wild horses. This one stood out with its unique markings and beautiful winter coat.
Like mother, like daughter
It was foggy. It was dark. Then I came across this pair of stars.
I was just as surprised
I went looking for California Bighorn Rams and found a whole flock. I was just as surprised as this ram was. ;)
Effortless
This ewe cleared the barbed wire fence as if it wasn't there.

Day 33: California Bighorn Sheep
I found a herd of California Bighorn Sheep. This ewe caught my attention because of her tag and tracking device. She didn't mind it, almost wearing it like jewelry. It serves an important purpose for biologists studying and tracking these wild animals.
